With great anticipation, the Capitals have released the 2008 Rookie Camp and Training Camp schedule featuring practices and scrimmages that are open to the public and free of charge.
Rookie Camp begins at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 14, at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. The five-day camp culminates with a game against Philadelphia Flyers rookies at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18 – tickets required but seats available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Rookies will be off the ice by 1:00 p.m. every day, but veterans who have returned to the area early take the ice skate informally from 1:15 to 3:30 p.m September 14-17.
Formal on-ice sessions of Training Camp will begin Saturday, September 20, at 10:00 a.m., and the Capitals will play its first preseason game at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, at Carolina.
